Novel set in 1940 during WWII. The story involves several interesting characters and the choices they make which then trigger events (or do not trigger events as the case may be). The two main characters are women–one a news reporter in London while Germany was bombing daily and the other a postmistress in Franklin, Massachusetts. Choices made by others in the book eventually draw these two women to meet each other.

Mixed at best. We all agreed that The Help would be a hard book to follow. I’d say the group was split evenly–some loved the characters and the way their lives became linked, others remarked that the writing was inconsistent. The ending was somewhat weak. We gave this book 4 Bees.
